Dr Manjit Singh
Dr Manjit Singh is a much-loved and revered specialist GP from Townsville, where he has lived for the past twenty years.
He received the inaugural award for Townsville’s best GP trainer of the year in 2009. In 2016, he was recognised one of the best 60 GPs in whole of Australia.
He recently relocated to Brisbane to be with his daughter, who’s also studying to be a doctor. Dr Singh is originally from India, where he passed his MBBS and joined the Indian armed forces. He did specialist physician training in 1980 and cardiology training from 1988 in AFMC Pune.
After joining Queensland health in the year 2000 as a General Practitioner, Dr Singh worked in Normanton and Collinsville before moving to Townsville in 2005 where he remained ever since.
Being a Cardiologist and a Physician, his main interest has been in Cardiology. Besides this, he spends a considerable part of his practice time performing minor skin surgery.
He likes looking after patients with Chronic Health Conditions. He also enjoys Endocrinology, Travel Health, and Men’s Health. He loves children, who he makes his best friends.
Besides Medicine, Cricket is the passion of his life.
